The depths of narrative purgatory.

Blurred follows two writers, as they find themselves in between the narrative reality. A study on the restrictions of the writer, it aims to bring light to issues that otherwise don't often see the light of day.
Unfortunately, it's reached that point where words have started to lose their meaning.
As Director of Photography, I worked very closely with the director. Using the Blackmagic Ursa Mini, we utilized the small space to our advantage. The technique of close-ups to put you in the scene. Some selective shots using their focus as the film progressed, for effect.
Is it all a dream?
With no audible dialogue and an eerie sense of unease sprinkled throughout the short, a claustrophobic aesthetic, and a sense of emptiness, 'Blurred' makes a point of doing exactly what it sets out to do... blurring the narrative line.
